The Augusta mantel is part of our "Mission Collection" but it is in fact one of our classic designs. We designed the Augusta in 1992 and it was in our original line of about ten to twelve mantels. It was created for customers who wanted a similar design to our classic mantels but did not desire to have fluted boards or dentil moulding on their centerpieces. The "mission" home design became extremely popular again in the early part of the decade. The Augusta along with the Fontana led the way for us to provide a "mission" style line of mantels to accomodate such houses.
