"The installation of my mantel went very smoothly. I was able to use some existing bolts that were anchored in the wall from the previous mantel shelf. I bolted a 2x10 to the brick fireplace then slipped your mantel onto the 2x10 and used a nail gun to nail it in place. The whole process only took me about 2 hours. The red oak took stain very nicely and I sealed it with a couple coats of polyurethane. I should probably give it another coat or two when I have the chance. Your workmanship was outstanding and I managed not to screw it up during my installation.
Our renovation included a kitchen, lav, laundry room and family room (where the mantel is). During our project, we bought most of our appliances, fixtures, electronics, etc. on the internet and had many very positive experiences.
